Sunny Leone Denied Permission to Perform at Kerala University: Report
The Vice-Chancellor of Kerala University has reportedly refused to allow actress Sunny Leone to perform a dance show at the University College of Engineering campus in Thiruvananthapuram on July 5.
According to Malayalam media reports, University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal directed the registrar to ensure that Leone’s performance is not included in the event’s program list. This directive was reported by Manorama and Mathrubhumi.
The decision comes in the wake of a tragic incident last November, where four students lost their lives and over 60 were injured in a stampede-like situation during a concert at the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) Kerala’s Ernakulam district Kerala’s.
Sunny Leone, who is preparing for her role in filmmaker Pampally’s upcoming Malayalam film, recently shared on Instagram a glimpse of the muhurat ceremony as she began shooting for the film. She also expressed her excitement by stating, “I’m so excited to be part of this amazing Malayalam film that I ended up burning my hands. Director: @pampally.”
Sunny Leone is known for her work in several Bollywood films, including ‘Jism 2’, ‘Ragini MMS 2’, ‘Ek Paheli Leela’, ‘Kuch Kuch Locha Hai’, ‘Mastizaade’, and more. Her latest appearance was in the 2023 film ‘Kennedy’ alongside Rahul Bhat. She has also acted in South Indian films like ‘Thee Ivan’ and ‘Mrudhu Bhave Dhruda Kruthye’. The actress has yet to announce her next major Bollywood project.
